You’ll also get free subscriptions to HolisticEdEx and UpShots, our monthly e-newsletters, as well as opportunities to connect with like-minded clinicians who share your interests. Choosing Courses & Lectures: The Exchange offers a variety of course & lecture material under the 6 Learning Category icons. You can also see a listing of coursework via the “All Courses” button in the top right corner.
We’ve got CME accredited coursework as well as non-accredited lectures and white papers you can download. Some courses include video components; others are audio & PowerPoint slides; still others are text-only. Most lecture units on the Exchange are under an hour, so you can easily fit them into your busy schedule. The course descriptions will tell you how many CME credits you can earn for each lecture, and any registration fees that may apply.
Earning CME’s: Each CME-accredited lecture includes a brief quiz, which you must complete in order to earn your credits. At the end of the lecture slides, you’ll see a prompt that will take you right to the quiz for that unit. On successfully completing the quiz, you can tally credits and receive a CME certificate for that lecture, or aggregate the credits and issue your certificate after completing an entire course.
White Papers & Monographs: The Exchange also offers monographs and white papers on a range of clinical and practice development topics. These are free to registered users.
Holistic EdEx & UpShots eNewsletters: As an HEE member, you’ll automatically receive Holistic EdEx, our free monthly e-newsletter that will keep you ahead of the curve on hot topics in holistic medicine, practice management and medicolegal matters. You’ll also get UpShots, Holistic Primary Care’s monthly e-newsbriefs.

Former President, American Academy of Naturopathic PhysiciansHolistic Education Exchange’s editor & co-founder, Erik L. Goldman, began his career as a medical journalist in 1985, after graduating from the State University of New York, Binghamton, with a dual bachelor’s degree in biology and philosophy. From 1990 to 2000, he was the New York Bureau Chief for International Medical News Group, a division of Elsevier Health Sciences, that publishes 6 independent specialty-oriented medical newspapers.
Prior to joining IMNG, he worked as a freelance medical writer and editor on a diverse spectrum of projects and publications, ranging from pharmaceutical marketing campaigns to medical atlases and academic medical text books (J. Willis Hurst's Ventricular Electrocardiography, and Fireman & Slavin's Atlas of Allergies.) He has had a longstanding interest in depth psychology, religion, ecology, music, and indigenous healing traditions.
Holistic Primary Care and Holistic Education Exchange arose out of these interests, and in response to the observation that most conventionally-trained physicians are in need of better education about holistic practices in order to better serve their patients.Contact Erik at: This email address is being protected from spambots. Meg Sinclair, Holistic Education Exchange’s publisher & co-founder, developed an interest in holistic health care at an early age, under the influence of her mother, a home economics teacher with a strong interest in natural foods and nutrition. In the early 1970’s, Meg moved from Michigan to the San Francisco Bay area where she began a serious study of aikido, energy awareness, and meditation. While in San Francisco, she became familiar with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, making them part of her personal approach to health maintenance. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in piano and composition from Mills College, Oakland, CA. Since moving to New York City 25 years ago, she has continued her studies of music, Yi Jin Jing and other mind-body practices, meditation and sacred dance.
Holistic Primary Care and Holistic Education Exchange grew out of her desire to create a positive influence on health care in the US, and to promote holistic approaches to health and healing.
